C3S., so Thought some clarification might help. The C3 is our "core" antenna that exhibits a 10 meter 2:1 bandwidth of 1.8 mHz. The C3E is the C3 with an added 10 meter reflector. This added reflector adds just less than 1 dB of gain AND increases f/b by a minimum of 6 dB. Please remember that our f/b specification states a number representing the "poorest" f/b anywhere in the band. In reality the f/b increases by 12 dB in most of the band as you now have a director, two drivers and a reflector. This arrangement also provides for a 2:1 bandwidth of all the band. The C3S has identical geometries on 20 and 15 as the C3 and C3E. Therefore performance is within .1 of a dB for either antenna. The C3S, however, has only one 10 meter driver and one 10 meter director. The gain on 10 meters is the same as the C3 because the purpose of the additional 10 meter driver on the C3/C3E is to give complete 1.8 mHz. 2:1 coverage. The C3S, covers 1.1 mHz of the band (the bottom part) ----- this being the only discernable difference between the C3S and the C3. Hope this helps. 73 Natan W6XR/2 FORCE 12 East Ithaca, NY -------------------------------------------- Force12Talk mailing list provided as a service by Force 12 Antennas, Inc.
