I'd understood second-hand that in addition to being bigger, the N element
is more efficient because the folded section is outward from the break in
the element, rather than inward, resulting in better current distribution
and more nearly-full-size perfornace. Any prospect that this concept could
be adopted for a shorter element? Or do I have it all messed up....?
