Bob,

Do not change the tuning of the parasitic element at all. The gain and
f/b is flat with the factory setting across the band. If you change the
parasitic, chances are you will adversely affect bandwidth, gain and
f/b.

The amount of movement can be easily determined as the position of the
jumpers is a linear function. If you have your jumpers at X position
for the intended resonance, just move the driven element jumper 1" for
every 25 kHz. change needed. If you are resonant at 7025 and want to
resonate at 7120, move the jumpers (each of them) 4' toward the tips of
the DE.

Again, don't tweak the parasitic!

Anybody got the 40 Meter approximate jumper setting for phone
operation. The manual gives CW settings for jumper distance from boom
for reflector and DE, but don't find the phone settings. Can anybody
help? WOuld like to use in ARRL phone contest with transmit high and
receive low. Need Reflector and DE jumper settings.
