14.0 = 1.0 14.1 = 1.1 14.2 = 1.5 14.3 = 1.7 14.4 = 1.9 However 15m and 10m are not doing so hot: 21.0 = 2.2 21.1 = 1.7 21.2 = 1.8 21.3 = 2.5 28.0 = 2.3 28.1 = 2.1 28.2 = 2.0 28.3 = 2.0 28.4 = 2.0 28.5 = 2.1 I used the CW settings when I assembled the antenna. Initial checks and through the end of the year showed nominal--less than 1.4:1 in the CW portions of the bands. Now, both 15 and 10m readings are high. I thought I would raise the question about this AFTER checking the coax run to the top of the tower, but since someone raised the question about the C31, I figured I'd bring this up while the topic was hot. Any suggestions? I figure I'm going to have to do one or two of a couple of things: 1. check out and, if necessary, replace the coax--however, it's only six months old. 2. check out and, if necessary, replace the balun--however, it's only six months old and I run barefoot or QRP. I've also not suffered a lightning strike this season. 3. remove and disassemble, clean, reapply noalox, and reassemble the 15m and 10m 'driven' elements. I've checked the SWR of the runs between the far end (antenna coax end) of the antenna switch and the radio. Flat on all bands. Anything else I should check? Thanks in advance for any info/help. 73, Dale Martin, KG5U kg5u@hal-pc.org http://www.hal-pc.org/~kg5u -------------------------------------------- Force12Talk mailing list provided as a service by Force 12 Antennas, Inc.
