EF-180B/D antennas over the ARRL CW contest weekend (3 weeks ago) and noticed little performance difference (gain) and some SWR difference on 20-10 meters. My C-51XR has 40 meters also and the SWR was shifted around 300 KHz lower. The EF-180B also had SWR problems around 300 KHz in shift too. I will assume this is due to the shortened element lengths...?? No problems were noticed due to the weight of the ice and wind (around 25 mph max). The ice was on the antennas for about 3 days... 73's, Kevin --> WN9O JRivamonte@aol.com wrote: I'm interested in a C31XR but need ice loading performance info.
