Q. During the installation of PL259 to my coax and balum. I used a hard solder that I never used before.

My SWR is okay however, the strenght of the signal that is coming out of my radio is a best four to 6 units lower that what friend is hearing through his radio and he is about half a mile a way.

Could using the wrong type of solder at the end of coax and the balum cause this?
