Take each element , by itself, up the tower about 30 feet and tune for the following frequencies. Just look for a dip in VSWR to indicate resonance. Also feed each element through a balun and don't forget to remove the small shorting strap at the center of the parasitic elements before adjusting. For the low end of the band: Reflector frequency = 6.890-6.920 Driver frequency = 7.030 Director frequency = 7.400-7.430 73 Natan W6XR Force 12 East Ithaca, NY FN12sk ----- Original Message ----- From: <DL4KQ@onlinehome.de> To: <Force12Talk@qth.com> Sent: Monday, April 24, 2000 8:19 AM Subject: [Force 12 Talk] 40 m Yagi, tuning frequencies > Hi, > > I`m running an EF240 here since one year. > Because of the receiving problems here in europe I want to put up a 3rd > element to get better f/b ratio. > Just ordered a further element (EF140) and will put it with the others on a > new boom. > Would like to know if anyone has experience in this, especially to get some > informations about prefered boomlengths and the (new) tuning frequencies of > director and reflector. > > > Frank, DL4KQ > > > > -------------------------------------------- > Force12Talk mailing list provided as a service by Force 12 Antennas, Inc. > Force 12 Web site: http://www.qth.com/force12 > > Submissions: send to Force12Talk@qth.com > To unsubscribe: send a blank e-mail to Force12Talk-leave@qth.com > Force12Talk Message Archive: http://www.qth.com/force12/list/force12talk > For problems with the list, contact force12@qth.com > > -------------------------------------------- Force12Talk mailing list provided as a service by Force 12 Antennas, Inc.
