Our dear friends at Microsoft have built into their latest release/upgrade of Outlook Express a feature that requires a "proof receipt" for a received E-mail. While this feature may have some value, it has absolutely no value when used on a list-serve/reflector posting. Each time one of these tagged messages are read, a return notification is sent back to the originator. I wonder if two machines who have this toggle on would ultimately fill up their hard drives with repeated receipting automatically. Please, those using Outlook Express, go into the "tools" menu and under "receipts" be sure no check mark appears in the box. Keep the box checked for all other E-mails if you must, but do not use it for messages intended as a post on the reflector.
