Our tribander test (report available from our website) showed that the C-3/C-4 is a very good antenna. The things that you really need to pay attention to are 1) that you secure it adequately and 2) that you use RTV or some weatherproofing (roofing tar, tec.) to keep the roof from leaking. I use all-thread through the tower foot (I don't like the little lag screws they include), through the roof and then through 2x4's (or bigger) that go across the trusses. Litchfield County is an 80 MPH windspeed zone plus you're within 100 miles of hurricane oceanline so I would encourage over-engineering the installation. Professional Engineer (PE) intervention encouraged as well. (County windspeeds are listed on www.championradio.com under Tech Notes.) > I would think it would be Fine with a nice Yaesu Rotor. Sure. The C-4 has about 792 ft-lbs of K-Factor (or Effective Moment) so the G-800 is recommended (1299 ft-lb capacity). The G-450 *might* work but it's only rated at 722 ft-lbs. so it might be working too hard, especially if you've got some big winds going on while you're trying to turn it.
