The comment on DC blocked surge arrestors (such as the Polyphaser) is correct. Because the switch is controlled with a stepped DC voltage placed on the coax, it won't function with a DC blocking arrestor. I use the Lynics arrestor which passes DC. However, I'm in the planning stages of a new tower installation and will probably be switching to a more hefty remote switch such as those offered by Array Solutions or ICE, both of which use a seperate control line for switching. 73's, Bill, AA7X -------------------------------------------- Force12Talk mailing list provided as a service by Force 12 Antennas, Inc.
