Well, the problem with securing the baluns is that you're always putting tension on the ends while the middle crosses a round element. Over time the PVC of the balun will crack due to the tension. Does this compromise the balun? Maybe but it would be a non-issue with a simple bracket. There are baluns on ALL antennas whereas there are only relay boxes on some 40 and 80M antennas.
