I have a Force12 40 mtr switchbox that will mount on the boom of a Force12 C4S. The plastic box has a door and a separate 7/16 inch hole drilled on one side of the box to allow entry of a cable to energize the 12 volt relay. My question: what is the best way to weather seal the 7/16 hole ? I have thought of using 'coax seal' or 'silicon calk' but 7/16 inch seems like a large area for this type of product. I believe Force12 instructions call for silicon calk. This does NOT seem to be a good solution. The correct size rubber grommet seems hard to find and will probably not do the job. I also saw 'silicon rubber calk' but not sure if this could be used. I attended a hamfeast this weekend, visited Home Depot and a local Farm and Fleet but still no solution. Any ideas ???? Has anyone solved this problem? Maybe a hole should be drilled on the bottom of the box to allow moisture to escape in addition to the weather seal.
