Subject: C-3 17 & 12 M Band Tuning With Automatic Tuners?

Greetings - I am new to the list-group and am planning to purchase a C-3
series antenna in the very near future. What has been your experience with
the typical on-board automatic antenna tuner of most newer rigs and
amplifiers (usually a max VSWR somewhere in the order of 3.0:1) tuning the
17 and 12 Meters bands with the C-3s with out the use of an external
tuner? . . . . . or is this just wishful thinking on my part? Thank you.
