Forgot one very important issue concerning replacement tubing. Often we must "swage" a particular piece of tubing to fit the next size properly. The swaging process is done using a hydraulic machine that reduces the outside diameter of a piece of tubing. This is done to ensure proper fit. A replacement part for an element from us would be swaged if the original was also swaged. I don't think it would be possible to swage without the proper machine/tools. This might be a reason to buy replacement tubing from us as it will be swaged, the proper alloy, the proper thickness and yes, the proper length. Previous Post: List Members, When we need to provide replacement tubing for any antenna, the appropriate tubing is cut by us to the proper length. However, the customer must re-drill the replacement tube and must measure the amount of exposure or overlap needed. The drill holes can be determined by using the existing holes of an outside piece as a template. 73 Natan W6XR Force 12 East Ithaca, NY FN12sk force12@qth.com -------------------------------------------- Force12Talk mailing list provided as a service by Force 12 Antennas, Inc.
