What 'high SWR'? The 2:1 certainly seems acceptable to me for end-to-end
coverage of the bands for which the antenna was designed.

If you are referring to the SWR quoted for the 12 and 17 meter bands, then
consider that this is a 4-band beam designed for (read closely) 10-15-20-40
meters and which also happens to have a low enough 12 and 17m SWR that most
radios with internal tuners can handle it.
