because of the matching system. If they were grounded it would require three seperate gamma matches and three feedlines, a mechanical nightmare. I believe it would be possible to ground the reflectors it it did not cause interaction, but the lengths of the reflectors would change. As far as lightning goes it really is a factor of how well the tower and coax is grounded. Noise would be the same as this is dependent on electrostatic charges on the ends.
