have a single vertical now (HF2V) and it works well on 80-M. But I've been thinking about adding a second 80M vertical.... and the linear loading F12 looks like a winning antenna. Most of the literature, Devoldere, et al, suggest using two verticals in phase/out of phase but I have not seen anthing in the literature to suggest two verticals -- one driven and one parasitic as reflector or director. Does anyone on this list have experience with such an arrangement on 80M? Also, it seems to me, if you use a Driver/Reflector arrangement, then it won't matter if the two verticals are dissimilar brands/styles, etc.... as long as one resonates on transmit frequency and the other is perhaps 5% longer and spaced approx 1/8th wave behind the driven element. Is this a good assumption or bad? And why??
