You are aware that not all "current" mode type Balun's are suitable for use? The Force 12 version seems to use a proper ferrite mix. Some other manufacturers do not and visible heating of the Balun can occur with 100w power levels. Even with antennas that appeared to be properly constructed I have observed the destruction of a popular "current" mode Balun with kilowatt power levels. Heating had gone un-noticed, but had almost certainly occurred. Please also, keep in mind that I am not a scientist by any means, just a builder, user and observer. 73 Greg K9ZM -------------------------------------------- Force12Talk mailing list provided as a service by Force 12 Antennas, Inc.
