We have put on our www.force12inc.com web site a new operating accessory. Please refer to the web site for a downloadable copy of a Force12 Logbook. 73 Natan W6XR Force 12 East Ithaca, NY FN12sk force12@qth.com (Designed by N6BT, updated 1/5/01) Those of us who keep hand-written log books will be interested in this format. After years of making notes in the margins, on the back of the previous sheet, or writing as small as possible to cram in more information, a new log sheet format was developed. It is focused more on HF logging, but can also be used effectively for VHF, UHF and satellite. The actual log sheet is available below as a WORD file download, about 25k in size (not very large). The entire, bound log book, with additional radio material on the covers, will be available soon. Fields that are unique to this log sheet include: Notes............areas at the top and bottom of every sheet Frequency/Split/Satellite -> allows more identification of the contact Report SENT/RCVD and Actual S-mtr -> comparison between the S-mtr and sent reports for review, such as when using a Beverage or other receiving antenna PATH/Bearing -> actual bearing (i.e. 60 degs) short path ("SP"), long path ("LP"), skew or E-skip, etc. WWV, Conditions, Antenna Used -> for tracking conditions and future planning of expected openings MODE/Pwr -> combined field Name - QTH - WX - Other - QSL -> for noting various QSO information To download the straight .DOC file, LEFT-CLICK here and, if prompted, specify a file location where you want the file to be on your hard drive Download Force 12 Log Sheet. Hope you enjoy using this new log. , N6BT -------------------------------------------- Force12Talk mailing list provided as a service by Force 12 Antennas, Inc.
