I own a C3 which has been up about two years now so I thought I would add to the discussion. I have NEVER had a problem with the antenna since I put it up. I realize that we are talking about the factory installed rivets here but I wanted to pass along info on what I did with the rivets in the elements that I installed. I taped them with electrical tape and gave the tape several coats of clear Krylon spray. I can assure you they are there to stay until I take the antenna apart! I have found the C3 to be an excellent performing antenna. It is up about 40 FT. and I have worked many rare ones with 100 watts. I would buy another one.
