> Did you try to get the antenna to resonate in the band or > just decide to rely on a tuner? Yep, no problem. Just rely on the tuner! Antenna radiates all the power I send up there. Tough to fiddle with the "real" resonant frequency with the antenna down. Have tubular crank up, so no way to get "up there" to fiddle later. Anyway, resonance and vswr have no relationship to power radiation. Only rig output power depends upon the match at the output of the rig port; and that is what the tuner fixes.
