As I understood it at the time, a few (?) people had unacceptable SWR on 15M. The "answer" was supposed to be making sure the parallel feed wires were very close-spaced, essentially lying next to each other. However, I simply assembled mine per the instructions, and the worst SWR was 1.4:1 at about 14080 and better at higher frequencies. It was 1.0 - 1.2 on both 10M and 15M. I did afix my parellel feed wires next to each other (2 yrs ago), but I also looked at the SWR with the MFJ analyzer, and it didn't make any significant difference whether they were close-spaced or not. Anyway, I love the antenna, and don't want anyone to get the jitters about using this antenna on 15M with a single feedline. If you do as they say, it should be fine. I turn mine with the T2X - no problems with rotator or the mast pin after 2 yrs of Indiana winters and thunderstorms in the spring. The SWR curves are the same as the day I put it up. I contest with 1000-1500W RTTY, and the balun has held FB too! GUD DX - It will be easy with the C31XR! ;-) 73 -------------------------------------------- Force12Talk mailing list provided as a service by Force 12 Antennas, Inc.
