bring out a few problems out of hundreds/thousands of products in service - true for transceivers/antennas/whatever. I love my C31XR - It had had some bad reflector posts about "high SWR on 15M" - I didn't experience that at all. The thing went together extremely easily and has worked super for 2 yrs now without a hitch. Highest SWR in my hands is 1.4 on 20M RTTY - Everywhere else on 20/15/10 it's much lower - almost 1:1. The balun has taken 1000+ watts of RTTY contesting without a hitch. The SWR is the same today as 2 yrs ago. I can't imagine anything better right now. Out of all the antennas they sell, one has to get messed up somehow, but this is the first post I've seen like this. Out of my whole antenna, I did have maybe 2 holes that didn't line up well enough - absolutely trivial to drill it so it was right. Nothing else wrong at all - no missing parts. Good luck - you'll love it! 73 GL to the gentleman with problems too! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gerry K8GT" <k8gt@flash.net> To: <Force12Talk@qth.com> Sent: Sunday, August 05, 2001 10:04 AM Subject: Re: [Force 12 Talk] Rivet hole alignment problems > > Seems to me that even if they don't assemble the antennas before > shipment, that the elements would be drilled using a jig assembly for > that particular element/antenna.
