members), I've noted that the primary source of frustration for users seems to be inability to post messages, or to unsubscribe from the list, when you want to. These problems, in turn, are almost invariably due to a simple cause -- failure to communicate to the list management software using the same identity or "return address" that you used when you subscribed. The software is set to ignore postings and administrative requests (like unsubscribes, for example) that come from someone who is not known to be a member of the list. This is to avoid spam and other mischief, but it means that the software must be able to identify you as a list member. It does this by looking at your "return address." In Outlook Express, this is the e-mail address you enter in Tools|Accounts|Mail|Properties for your current e-mail account. In Eudora, it's in Tools|Options|Getting Started|Return Address. Either way, as long as this address matches the one to which force12talk is sending you e-mail, you should have no problems. If you change ISPs and don't choose to use an alias server, the best thing to do is to unsubscribe using your old address and resubscribe using the new one. Note that you can do this even from your new ISP, as long as you temporarily use your old return address, so that the list knows who you are. If you need help, or have any questions, please write to me -- n4zr@contesting.com -- rather than to Force 12, who just relay such messages to me.
