The take off angle will improve slightly with height, not deteriorate. 73, Thor Hallen K5AGE -----Original Message----- From: Timothy Brown-TM [mailto:Timothy.Brown@telus.com] Sent: Friday, April 26, 2002 8:25 AM To: 'Force12Talk@qth.com' Subject: [Force 12 Talk] Sigma-5 Installation/Performance I've been told the Sigma-5's take off angle deteriorates if the antenna isn't installed just slightly above ground level. I'm pretty much forced to install the Sigma-5 about six to eight feet above the ground so that it clears a wood fence. Has anyone done a similar installation? If so, has the DX performance suffered because of it? 73, Tim Brown (VE3TMB) -------------------------------------------- Force12Talk mailing list provided as a service by Force 12 Antennas, Inc.
