Bill, the C series antennas will work well on 17 and 12 with an antenna
tuner, but if you want outstanding SWR on 17 and 12 meters as well as 10 -
20 meters then you should get the XR-5. Boom length and antenna design is
just like the C3 but with the added full size elements for the WARC bands. I
have the C3SS and it works outstanding for me on all bands. When I feel I
need more than what the C3SS can do, I will go to one of the C-xx XR series
antennas.

I have a few questions on the Force 12 antennas:

What is the advantage of the C-3SS over the C-3S?
Is it just turning radius?
Do both have some gain on 17 and 12 meters?
Will the C-3 do a better job than the C-3S or C-3SS?
I can't make my mind up on the C-3, C-3S or C-3SS
Please share any experiences with these antennas.

Thanks,
Bill Barbee W5LV
