Regarding comparison of these, I find my C3S works
exceptionally well on ALL five (5) bands. I've used all
types of beams in my 43+ years of hamming and must say I
am impressed by my C3S performance (only up 45 ft at our
final QTH since retiring). I find there indeed IS gain
on 12 & 17 meters and it does exhibit some F/B. Since
putting the C3S up 2 years ago (when I retired), I've
worked over 225 countries on both 12 and 17 (with max of
500 watts from small linear). Usually, if I can hear
it, I can work it on any of the bands covered.
