Over the years I have "popped" several baluns, including "hi-power" types. This was while running 2KW into moderately high SWR....(through a tuner) In each case the high voltage burned the winding or ferrite bead. So far the Force 12 balun has survived on my C-3. Although I only run 100W on the WARC bands.
