Subject: Force12 C31XR SWR Problem

Could be water in the coax.
Over the years I have "popped" several baluns, including "hi-power" types.
This was while running 2KW into moderately high SWR....(through a tuner)
In each case the high voltage burned the winding or ferrite bead.
So far the Force 12 balun has survived on my C-3. Although I only run 100W
on the WARC bands.
