I can tell you how many Q's I have on my already. I've just started with PSK31. I work what I hear. Can't ask for anything more.

Subject: [Force 12 Talk] Sigma 5

Got my Sigma 5 a week before Field Day and did a quick set up in back yard.
No pileups to check out, but everyone I called, came back and got decent
reports. We took it to Field Day and added it to our Club's 5A roster,
mostly on 15 cw, some 20 cw, and little fone on 15 and 20. Our Club uses a
very public place to set up and this year two local clubs, ARES and our
Sheriff set up together, in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Lots of power lines
and local nose.

I use a pickle/paint bucket with short length of PVC pipe in half bag of
Sakrete in bucket as a base for antennas in set ups like this Field Day.
Put out the bucket; took less than 10 minutes to assemble the Sigma 5;
antenna into bucket, and bottom of Sigma 5 maybe 2 feet off the ground; ran
coax and control cable to folding table; connect to radio; turn on
generator [one of those ultra-lite and ultra-quiet Hondas like the guys
used on VP8THU trip], and after maybe 20 minutes tops, on the air. OK, so
how did it work? Great. No, GREAT! Both S&P - always made the Q, and
running - no problems.

Now to take it on my IOTA trips to VE7 and then on DX trips our group will
make to C6A and TI later this year. Looking like the perfect travel antenna.
