Subject: C31XR & guy wire detuning

Long before synthetic guys were developed, we all used EHS or other metallic
supports. I have relied with satisfaction on the ARRL handbook or Antenna
Handbook chart that shows acceptable guy wire lengths. It is a fair bit of
work by the time all the insulators are installed but it does work and it is
less expensive.
Cheers.

Sylvan, in your post YOU said SHIPPING was the reason, not cost:

"ps - please do not recommend the use of Phyllistran -- it is too
costly to have it shipped here :)"

Obviously if COST is an issue and you have local cheep sources for
insulators and grips, and you don't mind how it looks, go for it.

ps, nobody in Canada sells Philly?
