Subject: EF-420H assembly questions

I have 5 Force 12 antennas, 46 elements and I have never seen any copper
anti-oxidant, only the noalox was included with all of mine. I would suggest
calling F12 and asking them if something has been added or changed before I
used it. Never hurts to ask. Tommy WD4K

With all of my Force 12 antennas I only received the copper anti-oxidant,
which I used.

The long rivets are typically used for triple-walled applications -
they'd be for the parts of elements closest to the boom. The short ones are
used for everything else.

You'll also have a bunch of rivets left over so the number included
isn't
a hard number for the required assembly.

Sounds like they're both anti-oxidant and can be used interchangeably. I
haven't seen the copper colored one you mention in any F12 antenna I've put
together. If you're not sure, don't use it.

Don't worry about it. There is no convenient way to mount the balun -
you
have to hang the balun under the boom and it typically crosses an element or
something else. Black tie wraps and tape will be sufficient. You can't put
too much pressure on the balun like you would with U-bolts because the outer
holder is pvc pipe and it's not very strong mechanically.
