I have had the 827 for a couple years now, and I am VERY happy with it. A Medium duty drill will make very quick work (30 seconds or less) of cranking it up and down - I spent an extra $50 to dedicate a drill to the task, so it is always handy. I use LPS-1 lubricant peridically to keep the cable and winch running smooth - I also spray a little on the square sections themselves - this seems to keep the drill happier! (I think it is "LPS" - I know that it comes in a blue-green spray can and begins with "L" and ends with "1" ;-) The tower hosts a C3SS and an M2 6M5X on a Yaesu 800 rotator. I've mounted it in a small concrete footing that has held up (cranked DOWN) in 50+ mph winds - I don't leave it up when the "Santa Ana" winds show up! hope this helps - j At 10:24 AM 10/3/2002, jerry schnor wrote: >If anyone on the net is reading this , I need advise >on what grease to use on the cables.
