consistently on DX stations (receive) better than my 88' doublet. It does tune up on 30M, but I noticed that performance is maybe the same as the 88' doublet. It sure does seem like the coils at the antenna are critical for performance. I will only be using this antenna for 40 and 30M, so I am wondering if I can put the 40 and 30 meter coils on - in series. What would happen to the performance? If this doesn't work - what might (some kind of tapped coil arrangement)? I know I can play and try these things - but its raining heavily today, so I can only think about experimenting. 73, Rich KY6R -------------------------------------------- Force12Talk mailing list provided as a service by Force 12 Antennas, Inc.
