You don't need to keep it perpendicular for that length. Some people just
use a post X feet (5-6' is a SWAG) from the vertical as a support, and then
run the rest on or below ground to the shack.

Using better coax is always a worth-while investment! On 10m, you will
easily save about 1 to 1.5 dB per 100' by changing from RG58 or RG8-X to
RG8U. If your run approaches 200', going to something like LMR-400 is very
worth it, as you save even more dB's on the higher frequencies.

For the most part, no. If you operate within the 2:1 VSWR curve, the loss
due to mismatch is negligible.
