Subject: Beefing Up the Sigma 5
Author: Frank Vesci <backdoc425@cox.net>

Hi All--

I received my Sigma 5 last weekend (woo hoo!) and plan to put it up in the
next week or so.

The antenna will be mounted such that the bottom elements will be 5 feet off
the ground (so no one walks into 'em). I noticed with the antenna in place,
a small amount of wobble where the 2 ft sections of tubes are joined (screws
and wing-nuts are securely fastened). So 2 questions:

1) Is this small amount of movement worth being concerned about (i.e. during
windy weather)?

2) Can the sections where the tubes are joined be "beefed up" by placing a
pop rivet either above or below the screws?

In advance, thanks for the input

Frank, NG1J
