Subject: C-4XL Boom Balance Question
Author: Keith Dutson <kjdutson@earthlink.net>
Date: 14-Aug-2003 13:23:20
The 15 meter element adjacent to the boom mount on my C-4XL is too close
to provide clearance from the tower. This antenna will be mounted on a
ring rotor below the top of the tower. Thus, the boom mount needs to be
offset about a foot toward the 40 meter reflector element.

What is the best way to re-balance the boom? I am thinking a lead
fishing weight, or several weights, could be attached near the end of
the boom. Another possibility is the adhesive-backed lead weights used
to balance automotive alloy wheels.

TIA
